| Jeevan - (Basic Life Support Training Scheme For Tamilnadu - 2009) |
A full day Jeevan programme (Basic Life support course) was conducted at IMA Dindigul by our NHB Secretary Dr.Abul Hasan of Erode along with Dr.Ganapathy. There were three sessions (repeats) of the programme over the day to reach the public maximally. Each session had over 50 police personnel and about 150 college students.
The audience interacted with great enthusiasm with both Dr.Abul Hasan and Dr.Ganapathy.
The police personnel were appreciative of the venture and the "hands on" training modules, which they felt had tremendous utility. |

The Main Objectives of the forum will be
To Sensitize all the IMA members of the branch against sex selection & female feticide, and about the "PC & PNDT Act"
To use moral influence and peer pressure on the erring doctors ( found to be < 2%) to abstain from revealing the sex of the fetus.
Incase the wrong trend continues, to take stronger action namely suspension from IMA and Boycott by other fellow & IMA Doctors
If everything else fails, to conduct "Sting" operation to raid the premises of the culprit doctor with appropriate authority & the media. |
